The Beginning of the Story

I've never been a big Thanksgiving fan under the best of circumstances, and these are not. As I have for the last few years, though, I would like to take a moment to remember how a few years ago, right around Thanksgiving, I got involved in something singularly stupid, that ended bad. It didn't take place on this exact date--November 25th--but it was Thanksgiving that year. So here's to me, and that particular mistake.
